some pricipals................

School principals I mean....................

Liliana has been struggling the whole school year. She takes hours to do her homework and still doesn't "get it" even though she studies her spelling words for hrs. She's still that little stubborn girl that achieves things on determination, just like when she was little and was going to PT 4 times a week. Lili does NOT give up, bless her heart !

Around Christmas I had a conference with her teacher and we both agreed that Lili is a prime example of a child that would benefit from repeating the year. So far so good, everybody on the same page........................

Now my kid's elementary school has a new principal.................the old one rocked, loved her to pieces, first name basis, had known her for years, since Oscar started Kindergarten there ( and that seems eons ago !)

The new principal has a degree..................and insists on being called Doctor, not Ma'm, Mrs, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, big boo boo, Dr "principal" will do nicely.........................................

Are you kidding me ???? Puhlease...................give me a break. Anyway, that's the kind of person she is, a pretentious know-it-all witch, to say it nicely LOL

She decided that Lili is making the benchmarks, even though it's barely ( by the skin of her teeth and studying for hrs every day, the kid is in 2nd grade )

And 3rd grade is where it gets tough, so it's better for her to repeat then............................mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................so let's have her suffer another year..............much like this past year..........headaches every day, crying....................let's completely make her miserable for another year and THEN she can repeat.......................

I THINK NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This lady, dr, whatever she wishes to be called...............does not know me yet !!! I have requested a meeting where she will have a chance to get to know me though ! I will calmly explain that I am all for building kids up, NOT tearing them down.

And I don't give a hoot about her school's grades !!! That's what it all comes down to...................politics people !!

Shame on you DOCTOR !!! I am looking forward to our meeting, where I will enlighten you and give you my 2 cents, from my doctorate studies as a mom !!!
