Sebastian is out of diapers.....................yes, you read that right, no more diapers for mommy's big boy !!!!!!!!!!!!
I had not even started on pull ups and really thought Sebastian was going to be the hardest, because of the delays and the FAS ( I guess FAS kids are notorious for being HARD to potty train)
Anyhoo, the kids were home from school last Friday and Sebastian announced he was not going to wear diapers anymore....................okayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.............out came the underwear (can I just say that tight boxers on a little hiney are cute, cute, cute)
In the whole day he had ONE accident !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it !
Monday he went to school in underwear, with extra's in his backpack, NO accidents !
Today, NO accidents !!
This is so, so very typical of Sebastian.............he takes a while and then just does it. Talking.........riding a bike........and now potty training........
He is getting so big !! His rewards are M&M's, I bought the little ones and peanut ones, mixed them in a jar.............when I gave hime a little one, he says; "no, not that one, I want a Glenn Beck M&M " LOL LOL LOL
The little sponge just cracks me up !!!!

another week or more has passed
Just not enough hours in the day !!! Oscar had his appointment with urology and he will have surgery during springbreak. He is NOT happy about it, but it needs to be done. He is in the 1% category of guys that have this little problem and it is really easy to fix, but they need to make a small incision in a very sensitive area LOL, he is 16, so that makes it even harder on him !!
Lili had her vision eval, the outcome was not as bad as I thought it would be..........ofcourse they do recommend therapy, which is not covered, a 24 session "block" costs $1700................................ouch !
I am still debating, wanting to see how much things are going to improve with her new bi-focals.
Sofia has been doing good in school, still a little too talkative at times..................oh well, when teachers say that, I can't help but think how wonderfully normal that is !!! This is the child that would freeze when she entered her pre K room, or church or a party, completely freeze up and only whisper "people are looking at me, they are going to touch me" her sensory stuff was out of whack big time ! She would sit in a corner and not socialize at all...............then she made a friend..........wonderful ! It was a little boy with severe autism...........but these 2 had something special going on, Sofia could reach him and she felt safe socializing with him...............by the end of the school year this little boy had learned one word and that was Sofie's name.........

Today's list
Someone is coming to look at the Power wheel I am selling on Craigslist (the old one)
My son is home, since we have a urology appointment, he told me last night we should go to Applebee's as well, GREAT idea !!!
Have to get some groceries.
Go to office depot for ink.
The never ending stuff in the house.................sweeping, vacuuming, bathrooms, LAUNDRY !!!!!!!!!!!!
Fold laundry that has been decorating the back of the couch for 2 days.
Get papers in order for income tax to be done...........lovely !!
In other words, I really need to stop blogging and get my ass in gear !!!!

Look who's a big boy !!
Sebastian has been asking for his milk (pediasure) saying he wants to be big with muscles ( it's what I always tell him)
He's still having pain, don't know why. He says it's on the inside of the button. The outside of the stoma looks good as always, no puffiness, redness or oozing.
This is what papa did on Sunday
Papa hasn't shaved in a long time.....................so he decided to have some fun with Max and let us do the shaving !!!
He didn't want to get all of it shaved off..................I think it's time for the Grecian formula, isn't that what it's called ??!!!

Mom called me yesterday, she was around the corner, if she could stop by..............are you kidding me !!!!
V looked great !!! And so, so big !! Mom is doing good, baby looked good, grandparents were there, it was really great to see her doing so wonderful !!!

Lili's eye exam
So last week, (yes, I know, I am wayyy behind on updates and blogging !!) Liliana had her very extensive eye exam with a new dr. It was long !!!!
The short of it is that my baby girl not only is pretty severely near sighted, but also has something called esophoria, which makes everything appear smaller, so the child will bring stuff closer, to try to magnify ( hence her sitting hunched over her work, books against her nose and less than 3 FT from the tv)
Unfortunately the esophoria makes the nearsightedness worse, which would explain why her RX have gone up significantly 3 times in the past year.
My child needs bi focals, can you believe it !! I felt so bad, the class room must have been pure torture for her, going from reading on the board to reading her work, trying to write, etc.
Her new glasses should be in soon, I caved this time and let her pick out a Hannah Montana frame, it's real pretty purple !!
I will post a pic as soon as we pick them up !

stupid tests
This week are the tests for elementary school..................I don't even know what they are called, but as hard as it was to get the kids out of bed this morning.................................good luck !!!
You would have thought they would have panned it better, not the week after the clock had to be moved forward, therefore it still being dark when they have to get up. NOT easy !!!
Poor Lili gets so worried about these darn tests, she was crying before she left, broke my heart. I called her teacher and gave her a heads up, hopefully she'll calm down and relax after she sees that it's not a big deal and not an all day thing.
Yesterday we went to the beach in the afternoon..........very nice, once we were sitting down. Just picture us with a small wagon full of toys, a bag full of toys, the boys each with their dumptruck/bulldozer, chairs, cooler............oy ve !!
I thought the kids would just play in the sand, maybe get their feet wet while getting water.................they all swam..........CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the water is 62 F, too cold for me !!!
In the morning Lili, Max and Sebastian went with papa in the truck, he just went to pre load, so he could get a head start today. Sofia was playing with a friend and me.....................I went to the gym !!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did !!
I seriously need to loose some weight !!! a lot of weight !!!!!!!!

Watch the little video, it makes a lot of sense. One of the things that was in the teacher's report was that Liliana always sits bend over with her nose on her work and even though she always needs to use a finger or ruler when reading, she still skips words/lines and gets lost in the story. After watching the last part of the clip that makes a lot of sense !
Medicaid does not cover vision therapy as far as i know, but I am translating at Kidspot today ( pediatric therapy that used to be our home away from home !) so I will be picking everyone's brain over there !

Everyone here is doing good, Lili enjoyed her birthday, loved her presents, although I don't know who loves the elctric scooter more..........................her or Max LOL
Yesterday I had a meeting at school for Lili, I had requested an OT re evaluation and sure enough, Mom's gut feeling was right on the ball, she did qualify to start OT again. The OT actually recommended a PT eval as well, since she scored very low in 2 area's, balance and fine motor skills integration ( we are talking about a 50 % delay, 4 tear old level, NOT good)
Made me feel bad, should have, would have, could have, moment.
So, I am sitting home, going over the eval, the teacher's input, etc. That combined with the headaches, the stuff I see at home................a long talk with my friend G ( who has adopted Liliana's bio sister)
light bulb moment.................................VISION !!!
Vision is not only the 20/20 eye sight, it's also tracking, converging and other words I forgot about. How is she ever going to be a good reader or writer, when all the words and lines swim in front of her !!!
The web can be a wonderful place of info !!! OMG I spend the whole morning reading !!
And everything I read just hit home in a BIG way !!! So I made an appointment for next week with a developmental pediatric optometrist ( there are only 2 in this area)
Very curious to see what he has to say !!
