But so little time !! I have to blog about Sofia turning 10 ! What we did the last day of summer vacation ( surgery............yes surgery.......Max, long story, all is fine)

the first day of school, the kids, L/N starting school next week..............fully intended to blog some stuff this AM, HOWEVER..............when I went to get L dressed
his Mickey button was missing.............and no matter how hard i tried I could not get a new one in.................so off to the ER, whole other blog, it was not an easy, quick in and out.

Now I am off to take Max for his check up with ENT, oh and it's raining AGAIN.....
that's the 3rd day of nonstop rain, YUCK !!!

AFO's

There's no more getting dressed fast................N has had AFO's for about a month now. They are a pain to put on,even though we have gotten better/faster at it.
He has gone up 2 shoe sizes, because of the AFO's. He will also get hand splints, to keep his thumb in opposition and prevent it from collapsing............I have a feeling those will be a struggle, he is not going to like those !

I read this on another blog and found it to be powerful........the truth..........

It's how I feel about our next adoption......not many people understand it........why adopt another one, another special needs child at that.............

Because he is here in our home, because he is bonded, because moving him to another home would damage him for life............I could make a whole long list of reasons.

I probably could make a list of reasons not to adopt him as well...........it would be a short list, with selfish reasons............

N is here for a reason.........."it is a matter of trust" and I will trust !

This is what I found in my inbox.............someone is not happy with me and decided to write papa an e-mail. Papa is in Canada (he'll be back tuesday) She did not ask for any help, and send it to our e-mail address......................cracks me up !

Long overdue update and news.............................

So I haven't been posting a whole lot about L, he came back in October from the foster home of very good friends of mine. Such a sweet, sweet, tiny thing, with a whole big history.............................Bad stuff, heartbreaking stuff...........things bad enough to have made the front page of the newspaper and the local news........

I remember reading and hearing about this and saying a prayer for this child.......and who would have known.....................that this child would one day would become our number 6 !!!

Yes, number 6, forever..............we will be adopting again. I honestly thought we were done adopting, I was happy still fostering, just short term placements..........
(you'd think I know about those "short term" placements by now huh )

God had a very different plan............even though it looked like he was going back to his bio mom soon, and we were at a stage that he was going on unsupervised visits a LOT...............................things fell apart, and fell apart fast............

This child was put in harm's way again, by his mother, who was supposed to protect him.......................but God was watching over him !

Literally within weeks, both parents voluntarily surrendered their rights............

and so here we are..........getting ready for one more adoption...........not planned, not ever imagined.........................but the right thing............

PEE YUCK !!!

A certain little boy has been peeing next to the toilet instead of in the pot ! YUCK YUCK GROSS !!! and it's not very visible, until you start smelling the horrendous smell........................................EWWWWWWWWWWW

So last night I scrubbed with tons of bleach, both bathrooms/toilets, sparkly, fresh and clean.

This morning there was pee again, and a lot of it, so I read sebastian the riot act and told him if he wasn't going to sit down to pee, I was going to chop it off.............ok, no I didn't tell him that I would chop it off, but he will be sitting down !!! took him to school, came back and found more pee in the other bathroom, this time Max was the culprit.........................AAAAAAAAARRGH

He swore it was an accident, but seriously.................there was a ton of it, so more bleach and more threats.........................

So now as I am typing this I am scratching, because my fingers are breaking out from the chlorine...................oh well, the bathrooms are clean...................

I think I will lock them and they have to ask for the key before going, so i can watch them ! LOL
