I need to learn to say no !

Honestly, I suck at saying no (hence the 5 kids I guess LOL)

Yesterday placement called me, they had a 6 mos old, not medical, but really medically needy. His fostermom works and he could not go to daycare. Low grade fever, nebulizer treatments every 3-4 hrs, thickened feeds, aspiration risk, etc, etc

Fostermom was in tears, could not miss any more work. To me the choice if I wanted him for respite till after the weekend or just on a daily basis..................

I said no...............till the foster mom called me................I agreed to take him for the afternoon (she had him at her office) I did tell her she needed to figure out the rest of the week and hooked her up with my awesome respiratory therapist ( who can check him and give him treatments at daycare)

Then V's mom called (from her grandma's phone, she knows I don't answer her phone calls anymore)to set up a visit for this week. At grandma's house and if I could pretty please bring the baby, because they are having so many problems with transportation (read no drivers license or car)

So I agreed, just for this week...............I have my reasons. At court it will show that these parents have had all the help and still can not do what they need to do.

I really need to get my behind in gear, laundry is awaiting and just the daily picking up stuff............everywhere !!!

This afternoon the overcap person is coming by. This is because I have a waiver for V, since I am over capacity. Should be quick in and out. Tomorrow the health department for my yearly relicensing. Sometimes they're easy, sometimes they are nuts (checking for lint in the dryer, seriously.........)

Yesterday I tried to get into your blog but was told I couldn't. Today I'm here, but having trouble logging. If this message gets through to you, it's to thank you for your comment about the nice time your mom and I had at our enforced overnight in Atlanta.

What you do is truly awesome. Far be it from me to remind you to take good care of your most important asset, without which you can't do any of the other things... Of course, you know I'm talking about you.
