It seems like they have been slammed lately, I have gotten 4 calls in the past week alone !! All for little ones ( 10 mos, 5 mos, 4 mos) and last Thursday was the topper, a call for a baby girl born the day before.......................
I can not tell you how I struggle with not just saying yes, bring 'm on over !!!
This time I called husband, to at least let him know and let him know my thoughts and that I was really struggling. His first response was "do whatever you want to do"
in a way that I know he is going to completely disconnect and make life miserable.
That sounds horrible, but it is what it is.
We did manage to have a talk about how I really feel that this is what I am meant to do in life and so we need to come to an agreement. My suggestion is/was only short term (30-45 days emergency placement) and not during the summer, more towards the fall, where there won't be boating/beach, etc.
We shall see........................................I called placement back to let her know I would take the baby as an emergency, Thank God she had just received a call that baby would go with sibs to another home. Made it easier on me.
