God's ways.........................

I feel in awe..................I have really enjoyed little V for the past month, she is a doll baby....................but ofcourse there was a special reason that she was placed here, even though we didn't know it yet......

She is aspirating, of that I am now so sure. I spoke to the ped this morning and she suggested a consult with an SLP ( speech therapist) and ofcourse I knew just the person to turn to !! Kami was the speech therapist of all my kids at one point or another. We have seen her since all kids are in school and getting their therapies there and after having gone to the Kidspot for.........mmmm, about 6 years on a row, several times a week, let me tell you it was weird !!!!!!! No more driving to Palmetto, not seeing the people that have almost become part of your family !

We are going to see Kami next Tuesday, she happened to have a spot open (thank you, thank you ) I also called another place for the OPMS (swallow study) maybe they can get us in earlier than late January.

THIS is why I am still fostering..............I know where to go and who to call and know most of these people. I am right back in it ! This is why this little princess is right here with us. Would she have gotten care at another foster home ? Absolutely ! But like with Max, she would probably have gotten pneumonia's before anybody would have figured out, hey, this child is aspirating.
Not that I am so great, I just so happen to have had 2 kids that did the same thing, one worse, much worse (which is why he ended up on a feeding tube) so maybe I just happen to be on the ball earlier. I am hoping we can get all this figured out before she goes home.
